So today is my 2 year Twitter anniversary! I wanted to take a moment to talk about how I have grown through twitter. Before I joined I was very active in ABDL forums and chat rooms and I got my news from news websites and my iGoogle page. All of that changed, however, when I joined Twitter. Now I really first joined twitter with a vanilla account way back in April of 2008 which would put me over the 3 year mark, but I don't count that. I only use my vanilla account to follow celebrities and I've actually made just 11 tweets total. But on June 3rd of 2009 I found the ABDL presence on Twitter and it was good.
I first started following just ABDLs for the longest time, and I was actually ignorant to most other fetishes. I owe a lot to Twitter for broadening my horizons to other fetishes and walks of life. My biggest following right now is the furries. I love the furries! Most of my good online friends are of the furry persuasion and I wouldn't trade that for anything. Twitter also opened my eyes to BDSM which encompasses so much I think I've only scratched the surface, but I'm looking forward to finding out more and meeting more interesting people. It has also had major impacts on my life, including leading me to FetLife where I found the awesome people at the Boston Littles Munch who I enjoy seeing every month.
One of the other major impacts Twitter had on my life and on society as a whole is on the flow of information. We find out information near instantaneously now. Gone are the days we wait for the news to come on or we go searching online. Now as soon as something happens I can pull up twitter and there people are talking about it. I found out about bin Laden minutes after I woke up and before I even jumped in the shower!
So on my second anniversary I want to say thank you to all my followers and also to the people I follow. You make Twitter enjoyable every day and keep me coming back for more!
